About 30 elected officials from village trustees to library boards attended a seminar at Governors State University on practical moral and legal issues for local government. The program covered ethics, meeting procedures, Open Meetings Act and Freedom of Information Act requirements with guidance on open dialogue, agenda discipline, and proper use of closed sessions.
