Authorities found the gun and cash in his car and held him for a bond hearing.
Testimony continues before the Fire and Police Commission on the Park Forest case of William Tucker. Police Director Maeyama says hearing impairment prevents Tucker from performing duties. Tucker, 42, father of two, was suspended without pay in April. six witnesses testified including Tucker, former supervisors, and Dr. Arthur W. Curtis. Curtis says Tucker cannot perform essential functions due to hearing loss, which may improve with aids.
Kellie Martin, 17 from University Park, is praised for volunteer work while planning college goals. She aims to study medicine or double major in English and education at Tennessee State or Fisk University. Her parents support her independence and decision making as she represents Tuskegee University in the UNCF pageant.
