Winners Named In Fire Escape Plan Contest
National Fire Prevention Week winners include Glenwood kindergartner Elliot Schmidt and Homewood second graders Megan Dowell and Meagan Puente. Plans require alarms, two exits, a meeting place, and emergency numbers. Local fire departments mentored students and winners rode a fire truck to school, with NFPA credit for campaign impact and safety education.
