Matteson Offers Path for Rogers Comtinuen Expansion
Rogers Enterprises seeks a larger Matteson building for two years, attracted by proximity to the toll road and Class 7 tax incentives for abandoned commercial space. Park Forest officials expect minimal impact, noting Rogers does not generate sales tax but will continue to pay property taxes while leasing the new space. Matteson trustees also approved financing for Applewood Center Nursing Home acquisition by Illinois Health Corporation, issuing up to 4 million in revenue bonds with no village repayment obligation.
