Police logged a weekend of incidents including a television set and VCR stolen from a West Main Street home between 5 20 and 7 40 p m Saturday. A gunfire incident near 16th Place and Wilson Avenue left dents in a vehicle. Cannabis and narcotics charges followed for several individuals including Michael E Mulholland and Daventer Bond. Other arrests include Gennifer J Dixon for retail theft and Teresa L Lee on warrants for drug and weapons offenses. Robert Manning faced domestic battery charges in Crete.
Michael Sons, 25, of 3385 Marquette, Fark Forest, charged with aggravated criminal sexual assault Saturday after allegedly grabbing a woman, pulling her from a women’s room, and pushing her into a men’s room where the assault occurred in the 20800 block of Cicero Avenue. A vehicle was stolen Sunday from a grocery store parking lot in the 4200 block of 211th Street.
A Glenwood resident reports tire theft from under a car on Illinois Street over the weekend. A North Chestnut Street resident says eight checks were fraudulently written after discovering missing checks. John E. Williams, 36, Glenwood, faces a DUI charge after a Halsted Street stop at 4:50 a.m. St Robert Keeley, 43, Chicago, charged with DUI speeding and improper lane use after a Glenwood Dyer Road stop at 9:10 p.m. Saturday. Mark Moverer, 17, Munster, charged with cannabis possession after a suspicious car call on Glenwood Lansing Road at 4:15 p.m.
Police report a 14 year old Homewood girl was charged as a juvenile with cannabis possession and possession of tobacco by a minor on May 19. Administrators at James Hart School were alerted that cannabis may have been in her possession. A plastic bag tested positive for cannabis and a pack of cigarettes were found.
Flossmoor resident James E. Kooi twenty five of Riverdale was charged with a misdemeanor for depositing waste into moving water after a neighbor saw him dumping a liquid into Butterfield Creek around 11 a.m. Kooi, cleaning carpet for Steamagic of Orland Park, faces Markham Court on June 8. Police cited another incident where three women from Indiana and Crete reported May 20 that name brand golf clubs and bags were stolen from Idlewild Country Club parking lot.
Hazel Crest residents face domestic battery and trespass charges after alleged incidents at multiple addresses. Bernard Hartsfield 37 was charged with criminal trespass and battery for threatening a resident. Dwayne Pettis 21 charged with domestic battery for choking a household member. Bruce Gardley 44 charged with domestic battery after punching a household member. Charles Tripp Jr. 19 charged with criminal damage to property for punching a hole in a door. An ATM break‑in attempt at Financial Federal Trust & Savings Bank was reported. a drill opened the door but the safe remained unopened.
Verneal Jimerson, a Ford Heights Four member exonerated in 1996, was arrested last week in Alsene for possession of a controlled substance driving with a suspended license and no proof of insurance. Police say he dropped bags of cocaine and marijuana near his car during the stop. he faces July 1 court in Markham.
Hazel Crest resident Nicholas Turner 19 was released on a $10,000 bond May 19 after posting cash and placed under electronic monitoring. He faces attempted robbery charges for a May 18 incident at the Bridgeview Currency Exchange where a note demanded cash and a handgun was shown. Turner was detained nearby but no gun found.
