Assembly moves to ban phone service slamming
Statehouse News Service reports the General Assembly plans final approval next week of a bill barring telephone companies from slamming or cramming customer service. The Senate passed 57-0 and the House 117-0. Gov. Park would sign. Cosponsor Sen. Debbie Halvorson. The bill requires written notice to affected residential and business customers within six days of a change.
