Matteson approves auto mall deal over Ford sales relocation
Olympia Fields Village President Linzey Jones urged Matteson trustees to block Olympia Fields Ford Sales from moving into Matteson’s auto mall by Jan 1 2000. The deal includes 10 acres at appraised value 2 117 500 and 20 year tax exempt bonds in exchange for a 20 year stay. Opposing trustee Dale Graham voted against. others backed the agreement noting long term tax benefits and regional competition concerns.
