Double whammy close to elimination in House
House Elementary and Secondary Education Committee endorsed two south suburban bills to end the double whammy revenue loss for property tax capped districts and to fix reforms on high school aid and low income funding. Rep. Maggie Crotty said 23-0 sent to the full House, with cost concerns from the State Board of Education. If approved, bills go to the Senate and then Gov. Ryan.
