The suit seeks 2.5 million in compensatory damages and 5 million in punitive damages and requests profits from Discovery South Group be placed in a constructive trust.
The Matteson Public Library will be built on three acres at the southeast corner of 207th Street and School Avenue, just north of the current library. The Library Board announced plans to seek a November tax increase vote to fund the new building.

The district reports a 5 percent financial reserve, aiming to exit the state watch list this fall. Beginning salary is $18,000 with progression to $39,641 for advanced degrees and tenure. Health insurance remains provided for full-time staff.
