Meningitis Suspected In Death Of Youth
The death of 14 year old Jonathon Williams a freshman at Homewood Flossmoor High School is under investigation with suspected meningitis. Blood and tissue samples are undergoing toxicology tests while precautionary antibiotic injections were given to his family and school community. School officials sent letters to about 145 students in his classes and advised caution though health officials say spread is unlikely except in close quarters.
