Matteson Officials Approve Residency Referendum Wording
Matteson voters will decide in March whether to keep or revoke the residency ordinance. The village board approved a non binding referendum question 4 1 with one trustee absent. The ordinance, enacted April 18 1994, covers police officers paramedics sworn staff public works and other personnel hired after that date.

NAACP backs housing project after protest at Richton Park
More than 40 South Suburban NAACP supporters marched on Richton Park Village Hall to protest minority participation in housing.
