Hispanic students explore health careers at St Xavier Adelante program
Project Adelante at St. Xavier University enters its second year guiding 21 Hispanic high school students toward health care careers beyond doctors and nurses. With a $200 000 General Mills grant in 1994, the program offers field trips, CPR certification, and meetings with minority health workers to expand career options in a non-Hispanic field.
