Dotson Free After Prosecutor Drops Case
Gary Dotson is freed after the Cook County State's Attorney dropped all charges stemming from a 1977 rape case. A 30 minute hearing led to the dismissal of his 1979 conviction and a new trial was not pursued. Webbs credibility was questioned, and the state called the case a tragedy of justice.
