Multiple thefts and vandalism reported across Chicago Heights
Police reported a car stolen from 600 block Carpenter Street between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Wednesday. Suspected crack cocaine and cannabis were recovered from three different locations by 7:45 p.m. Wednesday. A riding lawnmower was stolen from 1300 block Edgewood Avenue between 1 and 4 p.m. Monday. Incidents include chocolate syrup and eggs thrown on two cars near 129 Dorsetshire and 3642 Halsted St. A pool filter was stolen from Emerald Avenue. David S. Summers, 32, of Steger, faced charges after a 6:30 p.m. traffic stop on July 31.

Police find spent casings and theft report in South Chicago Heights
Police recovered two spent bullet casings Thursday in the parking lot of a business on Chicago Road. There were no signs the bullets were fired. A toolbox with tools and a sledge hammer were stolen Tuesday from a truck on Butler. Peter S. Bartley, 50, of 3234 Chicago Road, Steger, was charged July 31 with felony possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia. Edward W. Gaylean, 35, of the same address, was charged with driving with a revoked license.

Three teens charged in Olympia Fields armed robbery
Three Chicago youths faced armed robbery and stolen vehicle charges after a Walgreens drive through heist in Olympia Fields led to a high speed pursuit across I-57 into Chicago. Woman cited for no insurance after traffic stop
