Ryan Signs Charter School Legislation In Illinois

Governor George Ryan signed charter school laws to strengthen and expand charter districts statewide. Key provisions include phased state funding reimbursement, multi district charter creation limits, contract transparency, referendum pathways, and a revolving loan fund. PSC hosts New Beginnings workshop for women at PSC

Prairie State College will hold a free New Beginnings workshop from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. August 17 on the Chicago Heights campus Barnes and Noble Reading Room. The session aims to build confidence and self direction for women considering college, with men welcome, and offers course overviews, panels, Q and A, stress management, and self esteem discussions.
