Truck rolls on ramp linking I 57 and I 80 in Country Club Hills
A 23 year old truck driver from Olney was seriously injured when his semitrailer rolled on the ramp from northbound I 57 to westbound I 80 trapping him for almost two hours. He was airlifted to Olympia Fields Osteopathic Medical Center in stable condition. The ramp was closed about 10 hours for wreck removal and spill cleanup. Witnesses say the truck struck the guardrail before tipping onto its side. The incident remains under investigation.
