Printer Killed by Fast Mail Near Steger
A man was struck and killed by the southbound Fast Mail near Steger just after 8 pm Saturday. Engineer G. H. Moses and fireman P. D. Ryan testified the victim stood on the east side of the track as the train approached. The body lay on the northbound track after the locomotive stopped. A memorandum book with the name Ezra Hill and a card for Ben Swift, a delegate candidate, were found on the body. Hill was known at Tribune office in Chicago.
