Balmoral auction draws crowd for farm gear sale

A large crowd gathered at Balmoral Park for the Balmoral Annual Consignment Sale, with 150 to 200 pieces of equipment from horse bobsleds to lawn mowers offered. Buyers from nearby towns RP Beecher Plainfield Crete sought bargains as vendors expected the event to become annual.

Tech Fair at District 227 Sites Monday

Illinois National Guard conducts a three campus tech fair for Rich Town students starting Monday April 25. Juniors and seniors in physical education engage in hands on demonstrations with radar devices automotive analysis computers laser range finders battery computer systems and NBC detection gear. Tom Donausky explains the fair aims to expose students to advanced technology and provide practical experience with state of the art equipment used by the armed forces. The Central Campus hosts Monday East Campus on Tuesday and South Campus on Wednesday.
