The Matteson Village Board unanimously approves a 1994 95 budget of 11.87 million with expenditures 4.4 percent higher than last year’s 10.97 million. Revenues are projected at 11.1 million and fund balances, now about 3.78 million, are expected to fall to 3.01 million by April 20 1995. The plan includes a 1.15 million capital program with roof replacement and street work.

More than 2,000 job seekers lined up at the Illinois Department of Employment Security in Dixieland to obtain entry level job applications for the Ford Stamping Plant in Chicago Heights. The line stretched through a mall area and around a bank parking lot, with 1,200 applications handed out by 8:55 a.m. and the rest urged to return today. Police monitored the scene as officials planned another distribution tomorrow.
Anthony Moriarty, 49, assistant principal at Rich Central High School, will be appointed principal of Homewood Flossmoor High School next Tuesday. Superintendent Laura Murray, serving as both principal and superintendent since October, recommended Moriarty, who will begin his duties July 1 as Murray steps aside.
