Illinois aims for high speed rail Chicago to St Louis
U S Rep Dick Durbin says federal funds fuel a feasibility study for a Chicago to St Louis high speed line. If funding and approvals move fast, service could start as early as 1997 with costs largely covered by fares and some public and private money.
