Fishermen aid canoeists in Lake Michigan rescue near Portage
Four South Suburban fishermen John Scott of Mattoon Bob Grudzinski of Calumet City Rich Forbes of Harvey and Chet Siwinski of Dalton rescued two men from a overturned canoe in Lake Michigan near Portage Indiana. The victims Michael Mackiewicz and Phillip DePorter, both 26, were treated and released the same day.
