The ceremony for Miss Harriet M. Russell and Maurice R. Bissell occurred at the Russell residence on Prospect Street with Rev. C. M. Roberts presiding. The Canton Orchestral Club played Lohengrin as guests, and a large number of out of town attendees from Toledo New York Tampa and Paris gathered for the celebration and reception.

Life of Massillon Leader John M Walker Ends Quietly

John M Walker a prominent Massillon citizen dies suddenly after an evening call. Civil War veteran of Company I 76 OYI he later ran a wallpaper and paint shop on North Erie street. Survived by wife Laura Rudolph Walker he was active in Republican circles and had been recommended for postmaster by old soldiers. He also belonged to Hart Post G A R and the Royal Arcanum.

Quail Shooting Arrests In Canton And Middlebranch

Eugene Vernon of Middlebranch Patrick McLinden and William Wright of Canton were arrested for shooting quail out of season. Constables Bamberger and Wieclandt and Game Warden Dangeleisen led the case. Vernon posted 50 dollar bond. McLinden jailed awaiting trial. Wright pled guilty with a 25 dollar fine plus costs.

Medina Jury Awards $3,000 in Noted Railway Case

In Medina County Court of Common Pleas yesterday a jury awarded plaintiff administrator $3,000 in the case Sylvester Burd vs Cleveland Lorain and Wheeling Railway. The suit sought $10,000 for the death of Engineer Whitman killed April 15, 1895. This marks the third trial of the matter.
