Members of Branch No. 38 and the Ladies' Catholic Benefit Association spent Thursday evening in Canal Fulton as guests of Branch No. 47. A welcome address by Rev. H. J. Gerharat Stein opened the event at the opera house, with remarks by L. L. Volkmer and Sebastian Hamel. A Massillon Canal Fulton card contest was won by J. L. Hamel, a Canal Fulton waltz prize went to a Canal Fulton couple, and the L. M. B. A. cake was awarded. The Canal Fulton orchestra provided music, and thanks were extended for the visit with hopes of a return trip.

Police and witnesses aided him. he is under doctor care with no broken bones but head wounds and internal injuries, improving today. Anton Cromer, 217 Front Street, a machinist, suffered severe internal injuries when a crane boom broke unexpectedly during switching operations at Wheeling and Lake Erie yards.

Miners Use Handcars on Wheeling & Lake Erie Branches
Sixty Navarre miners used six handcars on nearby mine branches of the Wheeling and Lake Erie railroad. The cars were loaded onto a train and moved to Canton without the miners’ knowledge. A town meeting named Aaron Roderick George Ray and William Brindle to seek an adjustment with company officers so operations may continue. The committee is in Canton today.
