Mrs. Elizabeth Kingsbury of Akron, 80, and Mrs. M A Brown, 86, recollect Kendal emigrants who settled Massillon in 1827. The party of twenty seven traveled from Coxsaxie via canal and wagon, forming part of the town’s Quaker early settlement. A reunion dinner at Prof E B Jones home revived frontier memories and old friendships.

Hunting Wild Turkeys Near Manassas With Roosevelt
President Roosevelt arrived in Manassas at 4 30 this morning and set out on a hunt for wild turkeys wearing a khaki suit. Sheriff of Prince William county guides them. The party plans a forenoon hunt on a 1900 acre tract owned by the brother of Surgeon General Riser, then a stop at Bull Run battlefield and finally Brandy, Virginia, to stay with relatives of Surgeon General Rixey until Monday morning.

Electric railway clash over loop and Front Street plan
City council and officials from the electric railway discussed building a loop over Mill Tremont Erie and Majin streets with an arm on Front street. The company seeks the loop only without Front street, while the city demands extensions to Columbian Heights Richville avenue and North Mill street.
