The class of 1902 at St Marys parochial school held a large Burds hall commencement on a red and white decorated stage with flags. The program featured choruses songs recitations pantomimes and an operetta led by Rev. H V Kaempker and ended with diplomas and a final song.

In Canton on June 21 a preliminary hearing opened in probate court over the Richland and Mahoning Railway Company appropriation suit against Edith Dalsky and others. John Wack, longtime Osnaburg resident and former Wack House proprietor, died Friday from injuries after a horse kick. He was about 70. Seventy people attended Meyers Lake for the Commercial Department Alumni Association banquet, hailed as the best yet with the largest turnout. A jury in Clemens Burwell v. Sandy Township trustees awarded $121.50 for burying smallpox victims near Magnolia in 1900, after two days of trial before Judge Harter.
