At 2 am a blaze from box 21 engulfed the engine house of W. R. Harrison & Company's shops. Central and Richville avenue fire brigades fought flames, saving the factory proper though the engine house burned. Damage not less than $2,000, insured, rebuilding to begin at once.

A violent wind storm last night demolished the residence of E P Duncan in the country. Mrs Duncan and three children were fatally hurt. In Mason City Iowa four inches of rain fell with hail and wind causing damage to corn.
