Ohio bill seeks statewide ban on local plastic container fees
The bill would bar local governments from imposing taxes fees or charges on the use or sale of auxiliary containers such as plastic bags cups and to go containers. Proponents say statewide uniformity protects business and manufacturing jobs while opponents warn it undermines home rule and environmental protections.
