Heart Failure Stricken Citizen Rescued in Sunlit Court Yard
Martin Lee a prominent Marysville resident suffered a heart failure while resting in the courthouse yard on Monday afternoon. Bystanders J W Monroe and F T Arthur acted quickly, and Dr Charles McCune of Unionville Center administered glycerine and stimulants, likely saving his life. He was moved to his Sixth Street home where he had been in frail health.

Two New County Roads Sold at Engineer's Office
County commissioners and Surveyor Graham sold two new pikes Saturday. The Philip Herrre gravel road near Marysville was bought by James W. Jackson of Ostrander for 2235, 186.25 below estimate. The Payne stone road near Milford Center sold in two sections. White Sulpher Stone Co. bid 1535 for crushed stone and Jackson bid 790 for grading and spreading. Both roads expected to benefit southern taxpayers and frequent travelers.

Kezertee Woman probate wills to daughter in Marysville
The will of Mrs. Margaret Kezertee of Marysville probate Thursday names her daughter Mrs. Hester Smith of Toledo as the recipient of household goods a residence on east Fifth street money and other personal property. She also provides a monument for herself and her late husband. A son Frank Kezertee who disappeared twelve years ago is presumed missing. The will dated August 25 1910 was witnessed by F A Thompson and Frank B Courter.

Man Hurled From Yard Car Falls Injures Worker
Ross Reed assisting John Randall and Ralph McCarty in unloading manure spreaders in the Big Four yards Monday narrowly escaped death when six heavy machines toppled onto him. Barn Destroyed by Lightning on Farm of Mr Woods
A barn on the farm of Mr Woods on the Marysville and Kenton pike was struck by lightning Sunday evening and burned. The family was away, only hay inside. Wood had begun an addition to the barn which was also consumed. A corn crib burned as well. Loss about 1000 dollars, partially insured.

Wilber's Horses Bring Fair Price at County Sale
A large crowd of horsemen attended George M. Wilber's farm sale on Saturday. Eight horses sold eight head consisting of two draft and six roadsters all fine stock. The race horse supplies including bikes boots harness blankets were sold. Most bidders came from a distance. The Elks lodge of Marysville ran a lunch stand with Ralph Lentz as chief cook. Attendees were shuttled to the sale by automobile.

Woman Arrested After Brawl in White Chapel District
Miss Bessie Clifton was brought to police court Monday morning on a assault charge after a Sunday incident with Mrs. Nora Eggleston. Clifton paid $5 and costs and was discharged. Edward Price, a well regarded Milleburg resident, was discovered dead in bed Thursday morning by his wife. He appeared in good health the previous evening after a town stroll and retired at eleven. His wife was shocked to find him dead the next morning.

Lightning Ends Life of Joel Mann in Liberty Township
Joel Mann, a 69 year old farmer two miles south of Raymond in Liberty township, was killed by a bolt of lightning during an electrical storm while sitting in his home. Dan Smith found the body across a chair as his wife rushed home from visiting relatives. The storm damaged wallpaper but did not ignite the house. Mann had previously survived lightning strikes about twelve years earlier. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1 PM in Raymond Methodist Church, with burial in York Cemetery. The Adams farm near Marysville owned the residence.
