Wrestlers Beell and McCue Clash in Marshfield Bout

A Saturday crowd at Juno's hall watched Pied Beell of Marshfield defeat Pat McCue of Minocqua in a best two of three catch-as-catch-can bout. Beell won the first fall with a full Nelson and the second in nine minutes, gaining the match amid cheers. A separate incident saw a Oneida lodge excursion bus overturn near Spencer, injuring several passengers including Clara Cummings who lost teeth. no serious harm occurred, and the group reached Marshfield by dawn.

Golden Wedding Bells Celebrate 50th Anniversary

A long married couple, Mathias Rembs and Lonvisa Rembs, celebrated their fiftieth anniversary at St John’s Catholic Church with a reception at their son Louis Rembs’ home. About 30 friends attended as Prof Hirgy’s orchestra and the Marshfield Mariner Choir provided music, and the couple then planned a second honeymoon.
