Matrimonial Bills Unites Marshfield Couples in Joyful Ceremony

At St John s Catholic church eight o clock Tuesday morning Jacob Thomas and Glora A Erron were wed in a simple ceremony by Rev Tuther Elsen. The bride is Miss Glora Erron, sister of the groom acted as maid of honor with Joh Tetum as best man. After the breakfast the couple left by Wisconsin Central for Milwaukee and will reside in Weyauwega cottages on Maple street. The Thomas union is described as happy with both families and friends extending best wishes.

Professor Stewart speaks on race at crowded Madison lecture

A densely packed Madison audience heard Prof. Stewart discuss race in his lecture That Nigger The Afro American speaker urged white Christians to end prejudice and support Black education. He praised education as a path to progress and asked whites to stop dehumanizing Black people. The program ended with several melodies. The Milwaukee fair drew record crowds with large county exhibits including Wood County’s grain display and vegetables under Peter Fommer’s supervision.

Little Folks Entertainment at Presbyterian Church Concert

Those who missed the Saturday concert at the Presbyterian church were treated by a program planned and carried through by Emmaniene Hayward Jean Williams Loretta Cole and Curtie Branch with help from Ethel and Clarioce Coy. The event featured songs declamations and readings all executed admirably. One hundred eleven Wickets at one cent each were sold. Prof Hartwell of St Tenis offered limited consultation at Mansion House. Pee Ladies fifty cents gentlemen one dollar. Hours 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Cheap clothing advertised at Larenzle's.

Chicago Fair Store Closed On Mortgage Action

The Chicago Fair Store run by He Stein was closed on a chattel mortgage yesterday morning. Louis Taberwitz of New York, Mr Stein’s brother in law, held the mortgage and took possession of the goods. He moved them into Kraus & Krug for nine inventory, then to remove to their store. Stock includes crockery tinware and gentlemen furnishings, with about 1,500 in inventory.

Fatal Shooting Near Colby Ends in Tragedy

G B Dicks in son, a Colby area farmer, accidentally discharged a rifle while hanging it. The ball struck his right thigh, severed an artery, and he bled to death within minutes. Dicksin son was a prominent local farmer and his funeral drawing the largest crowd Colby has seen.
