Last Saturday evening Fred Beeill fought Joe Collins champion middleweight of Canada at Houghton. The scheduled three of five falls could not be decided before midnight, so the match was ruled a draw. Collins led 2 falls to 1 when stopped. A rematch to decide the championship is set for November 4 at Houghton.

Elmer Blocksidge eldest son of Mr and Mrs William Blocksidge of Lincoln died at home Tuesday afternoon after a two month illness due to heart trouble He was born August 31 1879 in Lincoln and was unmarried The funeral was held Thursday at 1 pm from the family home with Rev J F Young officiating The interment followed in the city cemetery
Marshfield Land and Lumber Co sold 4 000 000 ft of 6x8 and 4x8 hem tock timber to Joseph Hanreddy a Chicago contractor for 13 735 per thousand totaling about 55 000. The timber will frame brick sewers in Chicago and the mill will operate on the contract immediately with completion in several months amid brisk competition.
