Death by gas and flame shocks Dodgeville
Edw L Reese cashier of the First National Bank in this city was found dead in bed at the Avenue hotel after suspected gas fumes and a turned on gas jet and incandescent light. Investigating showed the chandelier held a gas jet close to a light and rubbing match may have caused an accidental death. Reese, 72, a top local figure in Republican circles, left a wife and four children.
