Bishop Schwebach Injured in Cas sels Runaway
Bishop James Schwebach of the La Crosse diocese was seriously injured in a Wednesday runaway accident at Cassels Wisconsin while being driven to the church from the depot. Horses bolted after a salute fired in his honor. The carriage was wrecked and the bishop suffered serious injuries but no bones were broken, likely sidelining him for weeks.
