Death of Matt Schill in Auburndale hospital
Matt Schill of Auburndale died at the city hospital Sunday morning after a short illness. He had undergone an appendectomy earlier and was recovering until a few days before his death, when complications required a second operation on Friday. Despite efforts, the illness proved hopeless and he passed away the following day. He was a charter member of the Catholic Foresters at Auburndale, and many lodge members from this city traveled to Auburndale for the funeral yesterday.

A. A. Graves of Loyal arrived in Marshfield Saturday with his new Rambler touring car purchased in Milwaukee the day before. He left Milwaukee at 8 o clock Saturday morning and reached Loyal just after midnight after traveling in a rain storm and poor road conditions. Graves calls the car the finest auto mobile ever brought to the city and says it is a powerful machine with the latest improvements.

Farmer kills tramp in alleged self defense near Wausau
Richard Beyreis, a farmer north of Wausau, shot and killed an unknown tramp Monday after finding the man loitering near his farm. The confrontation ended with Beyreis firing his pistol to defend himself. Officials investigate, but Beyreis is expected to avoid arrest as the shooting is deemed self defense.

The Literary Society plans to stage The School of Sorrows on December 13, a revision of The Two Orphans, with cast to be announced.

University Man Inspects Stallions
Dr. A Alexander professor of veterinary science at the state university college of agriculture completed a tour of southern and central counties to inspect stallions for improving breeding.
