County Convention Here by American Society of Equity

Change In Passenger Schedule On Wisconsin Central Trains
A slight running time adjustment affects several Wisconsin Central division trains. Train 1 now departs Chicago at 10:30 p.m. and reaches Marshfield at 6:40 a.m. instead of 6:45. Train 8 departs Chicago 6:30 p.m. and arrives Marshfield 1:38 a.m. instead of 2:40. Train 11 arrives Marshfield 1:23 p.m. instead of 1:20. Train 12 arrives Marshfield 12:22 p.m. instead of 12:18. Train 8 arrives at Marshfield 6:15 p.m. as before but departs Chicago at 8:35 p.m., five minutes earlier.

Public entertainment and district meeting planned
The I.0 G6 T. Lodge schedules a public entertainment this Friday evening at the hall in the Sexton block with admission 25 cents for adults and 15 cents for children. Friday afternoon a joint session of the List and 26th districts will decide on joining the two districts and Grand Chief Templar Larson of Waupaca is expected to attend and speak.

Evangelical School Building Plans Near Completion
Specifications prepared for a St Pauls German Evangelical church school building to be erected this fall. A reliable builder will be contracted to start work soon. The 20 by 30 foot two story structure will stand on Fourth Street next to the current church building.

Accident Dims Central Engine No 66 in Greenwood Yard
An accident at Central Engine No 66 on the Greenwood branch left the locomotive unable to move after an axle failure in the yards. The engine, used for switching, ditched on Sunday, with a freight crew repositioning it to reach cars before a wrecker arrived to straighten the scene.

Eighteenth Anniversary Muster Of Marshfield Light Infantry
On September 25 1889 Marshfield’s military group marked its eighteenth mustering anniversary as a provisional company. Adjutant General Burchard mustered in the Marshfield Light Infantry at Uphan Hall and arranged state funding for armament. The rink opera house was leased as an armory and drill hall. Officers were elected after mustering, with Frank R Upham named secretary and James W Beattie treasurer following resignations by E M Deming and C S Vedder. The roster lists captain W A Reed and a long list of lieutenants and privates.
