Ex-Mayor Henry Kalsched Hurt in Hunting Accident Near Hannibal
Ex Mayor Henry Kalsched suffered four buck-shot wounds in a hunting accident near Hannibal Monday. He was carried six miles to reach a gasoline car and then hospital, where doctors reported one shot lodged in bone below the knee and another in the calf. He is expected to recover at St. Joseph's hospital. The party had been deer hunting about a mile from camp. several hunters aided in his rescue.

Railway firms to pay sewer tax on Soo line site
As part of building a new express office on Soo railway ground the sewer tax assessment of 612 was levied against the railway company. Omaha and Northwestern companies have paid their back sewer taxes. others must pay before further connections are allowed.

Marshfield Establishes New Ladies of G A R Lodge
On November 16 a new ladies lodge was organized in Marshfield as a branch of the Ladies of the Grand Army of the Republic. It will be known as the Tames G. Blaine Circle No 27 with officers to be elected at the first December meeting. Traveling president Miss Ethel Irish founded the lodge and then left for Wansatt to organize another branch.

County Board Adjourns as Bank Appointed Custodian of Funds
The county board of supervisors closed a week of February sessions with plans for a February adjournment to address bonds of county officers and other business. A three member educational committee was appointed, Nash Mitchell was elected supervisor of assessments, and The First National Bank of Marshfield was named custodian of county funds for the coming year after bidding 4 percent on daily balances. The bonding committee reported the $50,000 asylum issue disposed of at $1,012 above par. A skating rink project led by O R Hughes was announced for December 1, with ample facilities and music planned.
