Death of an Old Settler in Lincoln

Ole Peterson, a Lincoln pioneer born November 16, 1830 in Denmark, died at his home last Thursday at age eighty. Funeral held Saturday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Postlethwaite officiating. large attendance. Survived by twelve children, 27 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. The family trace includes moves to Dane, Waukesha, Wood counties, settling near Nasonville. Polls reflect Peterson’s industry and integrity as early settler. The piece also covers a Milwaukee race where Dean Oakley forfeited after a disputed start, and notes Jerry H. W. County Board Opens Fall Session In Grand Rapids
