Fire at Auburndale devastates village center

A large band of over seventy gypsies, blamed for wide trouble in Stratford and Wausau, arrived from the north Monday afternoon but were stopped at the town line road by Officer Gritau and forced to turn south toward Hewitt. They attempted to rob residents under fortune telling pretenses. some property losses were reported before the group was diverted. The report also notes new Wisconsin Central train service improvements adding Nos 11 and 12 between Milwaukee and Abbotsford, effective May 20, with schedules guiding travelers and expected relief to local services.

Verdict Favoring Linster & Welter in Lutz Suit
The Linster and Welter case against Charles Lutz over his dead children at a farm near the Welter mill last week ended with a verdict for the defendants.
