Annual Junior Banquet Menu and Guests Planned

Arrangements are completed for the annual junior class banquet to honor the seniors. Over fifty invitations will be issued to guests including the school board, faculty, and both classes. Menu directed by Miss Hartier O Connor includes diverse dishes and beverages.

Death of Martha Boyington in Wood County

Martha Boyington daughter of Justin N Boyington died at 3 30 this morning at her grandmother Mrs N Boyingtons home in Marshfield She was born January 27 1892 in Ironwood Michigan and was 13 years old Her mother died three years ago and she lived with her sister Celia now ten Martha had typhoid fever after a grip and gradually failed her heart gave way peacefully She was widely loved and listed as a favorite of young friends The Marshfield and Wood County Republican conventions followed with delegates chosen and tribute to late Frank A Cady included The piece also recounts a runaway on Central Avenue causing property damage but no injuries

Band Concert Tuesday Delayed By Weather

A band concert advertised for last evening was postponed due to bad weather. The first concert of the season will be next Tuesday at the city park if weather cooperates. A band rehearsal is scheduled for Monday evening and all members are urged to attend. Prof. F. L. Bliss has prepared the program for the Tuesday event featuring selections by various composers and bands.

Sewer Work Commenced by Municipal Engineering Co in City

Ww J Cgden of the Municipal Engineering and Contracting Co of Chicago arrived Monday to supervise sewer work. Ogden set crews to level streets where last fall’s sewer was laid and prepare for the balance of the project. Ernest McCullough expected next week to head remaining tasks. a new deep-dig sewer machine from Chicago arrives soon. The firm will bid for a new North Side sewer, potentially keeping McCullough and Ogden local longer if awarded.

Plans for Fourth of July Celebrations by the Eagles

The Eagles plan a large Fourth of July celebration with carnivals and free attractions. A floral parade, prizes, a sheriff Wicker horse match for 300 dollars a side, a local auto race, and two dances are planned. Athletic events will be organized by Dr Burns and others. Hearst delegates elected in Democratic ward caucuses.
