Plan to Furnish Power From Grand Rapids to Marshfield

The city council weighs a plan to transmit Grand Rapids power to Marshfield to light homes and power factories. An option on surplus power from Consolidated Water Power & Paper Co. would enable building a transmission line, storage batteries, and a 10 year contract, with cost estimates for poles, line, and plants.

The Black River Falls event is planned for late June or early July with over a thousand expected attendees.

Juvenile Band Organizes Under Theodore Steinmetz

The Juvenile Band led by Director Theodore Steinmetz reports about fifty young musicians rehearsing weekly with private lessons. They will debut publicly on Decoration Day, performing selections to showcase the city’s upcoming talent. Members include George Bauer, Mike Miller, Eugene Steinmetz, Chas Schuster, and many others across Piccolo, Clarinet, Cornet, Trombone, Bass, and Vocal sections.

Marshfield Tennis Club Forms as Courts Nearing Completion

The Yenpis club, organized by Robert Connor president and Arthur Hogue secretary treasurer, aims to boost interest in tennis this season with a large membership.
