W. E. Brown Nominated For Congress In Wisconsin District
The Wisconsin tenth district Republican convention at Grand Rapids chose Hon. W. E. Brown of Rhinelander as the party nominee for congress. Delegates from Wood County were confirmed for the Ashland district convention, and resolutions praised the administration’s foreign and domestic policies, especially Cuba and the Panama Canal. A Tennis Club was organized at the Elys Club with Robert Connor as president and Arthur C. Hoene as secretary, to operate on Maple street courts.
