Wisconsin Bankers Meet at Armory May 27 Fun Program

The Wisconsin Bankers Association Group 6 convention will draw about 100 bankers from central and northern Wisconsin with many guests. The morning session starts at 9 30 with speakers A J Frame Waukesha B Rosenberry Wausau G D Bartlett Stanley and W D Connor Marshfield. An automobile tour of the city follows and an evening concert by the Second Regiment orchestra at the armory precedes a dance hosted by the married people's dancing club.

Junior Banquet Friday Night at NcKinney Assembly Hall

The Junior class annual banquet will be held Friday evening in the assembly room of the NcKinney building. Seniors, faculty, school board members and their wives are invited. Miss Wood, domestic science instructor, will supervise the menu and toasts are expected to be well managed.

Death of Mrs. Royal S. Dale in Marshfield

Mrs. Royal S. Dale died at 12 20 a m after a two year cancer struggle. Funeral at home on Tuesday with interment in Oshkosh. She was born Elle Butterfield in Scio New York on April 17 1852 and moved to Wisconsin in 1862. Survived by her husband Royal S Dale and two children one daughter Edna who died at fourteen and a half. A skilled musician active in Methodist Church Fortnightly Musical Club and Eastern Star.

The declamatory contest between Wane Sau and Marshfield high schools drew strong turnout last Friday. Miss Pagenkopf of Wansay edged Helen Ebert of Marshfield by a two point margin after judges rated eight participants on eight pieces with names like The Bishop and Encouragement. Final competition set for May 20 at Watson. two representatives from each district advance.

Alderman Juno Backed by Harney Fire Team Trial

Alderman Juno of the Sixth ward supports Dave Harney in a claim of the state’s best fire team. On North Central Avenue the run proved successful until a train appeared. Harney steered hard right at full speed and Juno was thrown from his seat but escaped injury as the team sped safely past the crossing.
