Marshfield telegrams from Washington confirm two local soldiers Frank Schuh and Frank Kohl were severely wounded in action against the Hun. Schuh, 37, unmarried, in a Montana regiment, was wounded May 27. Kohl, 25, asthma sufferer, enlisted after earlier rejection, was wounded May 18 and has a sister Anna Kohl awaiting news. Forty more young men enroll for truck driving and other war trades at the first War Industrial Training class held in Marshfield.

Sixty Five Women Apply For Alien Enemies Status
Chief of Police Michael Griffin began registering female alien enemies in the city on Monday. By yesterday afternoon about sixty five alien women had applied at the police station. Griffin expects the female quota to vastly exceed male enemies, with rural route workers under Postmaster A. G. Pankow also included. Registration continues through June 26 as part of the War Savings drive.
