Stock Liquidation Sale at M. J. Kraus & Company

An auctionlike notice announces the entire stock and fixtures of M. J. Kraus & Company must be sold to raise funds and adjust affairs. Mediators will slash prices further to attract buyers, urging wide travel and urging families to seize the opportunity before stock runs out.

County Fair Plan Moves Ahead with Life Ticket Fundraiser

A mass meeting at city hall formed a county fair association to push a city fair project. Officers were elected led by President Charles Morrison, with Secretary George Welton and Treasurer W W Noll. A ten dollar life admission ticket funds the fair, grants voting rights, and avoids stock sales. Committee members canvass the area with a target of at least five hundred tickets sales. The planned first fair likely occurs in late August, in the racing circuit week. Rev. Leopald Krell leaves Grand Rapids to lead Hoosie Falls parish, prompting a farewell reception.

Adams County to Offer 50000 Grant for North–South Railroad

Adams County board approved a plan to negotiate with railroad builders to bring a railroad through the county from Grand Rapids to Portage with seven stations inside Adams. If a company submits a proposal and builds, the county will grant 50000 toward the project, and several Chicago construction firms have proposals. The county, Wisconsin’s only one without rail service, could gain rails within a year. Also notes Hart’s Honey and Horehound praise and a testimonial from Oran Hammond about lung health and the product.
