Connor likely runs for governor in Wisconsin race
Reports from Marshfield and Marshfield supporters say W. D. Connor may enter the Wisconsin governor’s race, possibly as a La Follette ally. Other talk links him to contesting the Tenth District seat, with local Republicans noting foundation for candidacy though Connor has not publicly stated plans. Connor’s lumber interests, long support for La Follette, and local prominence are highlighted as influences in his possible bid. A separate note marks the 23rd anniversary of the Woman’s Christian Temperance Union formation with a Friday gathering invitation.
