The first public Boy Scout exhibition last Friday night drew the largest crowd ever at the armory. Scout Master M. R. Laird directed a disciplined drill and encampment display showing cooking, signaling, bandaging, and improvised stretcher care. Miss Unterkirchen aided the movement and the event followed a rough 48 to 28 basketball loss by Company A to the New York Nationals, a fast, polished visiting team.

Wreck Near Grand Rapids Yard In Fog Collides Omaha and Soo Trains
In a fog bound yard collision two Omaha freight cars smashed into a Soo line engine near the veneer factory yards. Conductor J C Bowers led the Soo line train into the Grand Rapids line as both crews failed to see each other. The engine sustained minor damage, several men jumped to safety, and a Soo wrecking crew cleared the tracks with brief delays.
