Citizens Ticket joint meeting sets non partisan plan
A joint meeting of Democratic and Republican city committees at Marshfield City Hall on February 14 discussed forming a Citizens ticket to avoid party strife in the April 4, 1905 election. The group, led by John A. Homan, sought voter turnout for a non partisan municipal slate and adjourned to February 21 to extend invitations and publish the proceedings. Ex Gov Upham judged at Stevens Point event. Vita Sherman won the contest. Death of W M Lindemann, former Winnebago clerk, noted with funeral in Forest Home Cemetery. he died in Chicago at 30 after smallpox complications.
