The Consolidated Farm Company promotes northern Wisconsin development near Marshfield with a 32000 pound stump machine that clears land rapidly. The system aims to attract settlers through five acre tracts, funded by installments, with on site jobs and housing to make land ownership practical for small means.
Attorney E M Deming received a petition from Grand Rapids last week signed by all the lawyers of that city asking Judge Webb to be come a candidate for re election at the expiration of his office on January 1st 1909. The petition is being circulated among the attorneys of this city for signatures. Judge Webb though nearly 70 years ago is considered one of the best circuit judges in the state and it is seldom that one of his decisions is reversed by the supreme court.
The city show windows glitter with Christmas goods as Marshfield stores invite shoppers to visit during the next two weeks. Early buying is advised to avoid last minute rush, and readers are urged to peruse the Times advertisements for selections and gifts.

Ray DeMoss discovered a broken front window at the Connor company store in Stratford. Constable Reed and two clerks pursued and found Otto Machin, about 19, stealing from the shelves and tobacco in his pockets. He was arraigned before Justice Curtin and sent to circuit court, then jailed in Waseau awaiting trial. Machin's grandfather and parents live in nearby areas of Germany.

The Unique Theatre on Central Avenue in the Wagner building is drawing growing crowds at matinees. Management caters to ladies and children, with cigansized pictures of the highest standard shown at every performance, becoming a popular fad among female patrons.

The Spencer event runs December 19 and 20 with David Imrie of Roberts conducting a varied program. Supt McKerrow will speak on sheep. Institute Bulletin No 21 will be distributed before the session.

Richard Roll the Hustisford bank er is in the city on business connected with the new state bank. Frank Lupient of Curtiss was in the city on business Monday. Mr and Mrs Leslie Willet of Merrill visited Marshfield Tuesday.
Dr. D B Clark assistant state veterinarian visited the city last Thursday and killed a cow owned by Louis Heil found to have tuberculosis. Dr Fred Warsinski examined the herd and reported only this one animal affected. the cow, only slightly chilled, has been removed.
A small farm ad offers pure bred Berkshire pigs and two broad sows for sale at low farmers prices. One sow bred to Star Masterpiece, a renowned Berkshire boar. Location: two miles south of Hewitt.
Mr and Mrs Edwin Howard of Wausan will conduct a weekly studio in Marshfield from Thursday 11 o'clock to Friday 2 o'clock teaching singing in all branches plus elocution and the French language with a studio at Missannes tl.
