Ashland division train changes for travelers noted

Passengers planning trips on the Ashland division of the Central should note that train No. 11 now runs northbound daily at 1 14 p m and goes directly to Ashland. Previously travelers used train No. 1 which no longer connects and would require a two and a half hour layover at Abbotsford for No. 12.

Marshfield could become a hub for cheese boxes and wooden wares as Kiel Wooden Ware Co of Kiel Wisconsin surveys locating a branch factory here this fall to serve dairying districts. Open Up Logging Camps This Winter Preparations Begin

Lumber interests move early this year as Upham Manufacturing trains crews to open camps in Athens. Geo. Smith, superintendent, sent fifteen men Monday and plans twenty more next week to cut roads and place down timber on skids before the first snow. A new camp will be built and preparations made to cut at least 10,000,000 feet of timber this winter.
