Open Up Logging Camps This Winter Preparations Begin
Lumber interests move early this year as Upham Manufacturing trains crews to open camps in Athens. Geo. Smith, superintendent, sent fifteen men Monday and plans twenty more next week to cut roads and place down timber on skids before the first snow. A new camp will be built and preparations made to cut at least 10,000,000 feet of timber this winter.
