Mrs John Kohl Rohl Dies After Long Illness at 64
Mrs John Kohl Rohl died last Wednesday at St Josephs hospital following weeks of suffering. Born in Germantown in 1861, she moved to Marshfield with her husband about twenty years ago and operated Koal’s Millinery. Survived by three sons and three daughters including Anna Kohl who manages the millinery, and a brother and two sisters. Funeral from J Johns Catholic church Saturday morning drew a large crowd, with numerous floral tributes recognizing her as a kindly, devoted mother and respected neighbor.

Red Cross Auction in Kohl building raises funds
The big Red Cross auction in the Kohl building last Saturday netted the local chapter about $476. The sale occurred both afternoon and evening as items too numerous to mention were disposed of. Auctioneers Ebbe Van Der Weide Kane and Knapton led the cry and are praised for the success. Richfield ladies of the Red Cross raised $12 at a benefit, Ebbe Red Cross held an afternoon entertainment netting $10, and Cameron townspeople donated eggs bringing in $28.21 for their fund.
